This calculator covers traits with well-established, single-gene recessive inheritance in poodles only. It deliberately excludes von Willebrand Disease Type 1 (labs describe its inheritance inconsistently — recessive at some, dominant with incomplete penetrance at others) and CDDY (dominant, and not established as a disc-disease risk in poodles despite being close to universal in Toy and Miniature).
